One repeatedly asks De que color es... with various items such as bicycle, house, shirt, etc. and the other responds using a different color word each time. Phrases such as me encanta, no me gusta and no me digas are used, and there are several examples of gender agreement with nouns and color adjectives so students get good speaking practice with key phrases. Spanish Family - Botero Family Portrait 9 True/False and Translations - Include Hispanic art and culture with your grammar and vocabulary practice! Students interpret 9 sentences about a family portrait done by Colombian artist Fernando Botero. If a sentence is false, students must correct the incorrect words. Students then translate all 9 sentences and are also instructed to write a Spanish family word on each line pointing to family members in the painting. Verbs used include llevar, sentarse, ser, hay and gustar and vocabulary used includes family, clothing and toy vocabulary. The download includes a full size portrait that can be projected in class.
